In my book, every day should be Pride. Every kind of love should be celebrated regularly, and I truly believe our society is advancing and becoming so much more loving and accepting— which is very exciting, but we still have a ways to go.
Dallas Pride 2018 was a blast! Vendors from all over came out to support the LGBTQ+ community with tents full of rainbow goodies, people full of passion campaigned for the things they want to change in society, different races and sexual orientations all came together in a beautiful celebration. I thought I would take a minute to showcase some of the lovely people I encountered during my time there and put a face to my pride experience.
I absolutely loved seeing the age range, people young and old being themselves and feeling free, it was inspiring.
Everyone signed this crisp white suit jacket and turned it into a colorful jumble of names and pictures from people attending pride.
Another cool thing I noticed is that not everyone was decked out in rainbows and glitter, people wore what they were comfortable in, expressing themselves as more than their sexual orientation, but as who they are as a whole person.
Even Toyota got in on the fun…
I had the honor of talking with these beautiful people for a while, they’re kind, educated, and incredibly passionate.
I almost had to make a whole post about the pups of pride… So. Dang. Cute.
This awesome pit bull rescue place had a booth with so many sweet pit babies, if you’re looking to rescue a pup that will truly rescue you, check them out!
I loved meeting these beautiful groups of friends.
I cannot get enough of all of this color!!
The coolest founder of a company EVER.
https://depilbrazilwaxing.com check them out for some awesome all-natural waxing.
So so much love!
I showed up to the festival with just my rainbow candy necklace and my feather boa, little did I know I would be showered and ornamented with beads, rainbow glitter, flags, and stickers galore.
What an accepting and beautiful culture, I was so happy to be a very small part of this huge day!
