All of my trips seem to be so random and last minute. But hey! That’s what makes it the best right?
I had a big, long planned trip to drive up the coast of California and see all of the National Parks I have been dreaming of since I was little, but life seemed to have other plans for me, so that trip was canceled. (It will most definitely happen soon, though!) To make up for this upset, I decided to take a good friend and road trip to Waco for some delicious food, kind people, and of course to geek out on all things Fixer Upper.
I HIGHLY recommend taking a slight detour on your journey to Waco to go to the drive through zoo. All kinds of animals will wander up to your car to eat the food the zoo supplies. Find ticket pricing and extra information about Fossil Rim HERE
I personally have a problem seeing animals suffering through captivity, but they roam free here, socializing very similarly to the way they do in the wild, while still enjoying human interaction.
They tell you not to feed the animals by hand, but that’s half the fun!!
We ate brunch at The Magnolia Table. It was fresh, had tons of healthy options, and was seriously delicious. I can’t recommend the lavender + lemon donut holes enough, it was my favorite thing I’ve eaten in a long time and I’m going to have to steal the recipe.
